Sadly I haven’t explored riverearth.com in years, so it does my heart good to see you’re still writing books about travels with mules!! I’m so glad to see you’re thriving!—Publisher Lady Paula
Paula! What a lovely, lovely surprise to hear from you after all these years! Yes, I’m still traveling and writing about mules and people still ask me about “Too Proud to Ride a Cow” all those years after it came out (it’s currently “in the shop” getting updated to ebook and audiobook formats). I hope things are will with you and I’ll be giving you shout to say howdy. Have a great weekend! Bernie
I can’t wait for your book!
Howdy. Hey thanks for taking a moment to drop us a line. It’s always nice to hear from folks! We look forward to letting you know when “Trash to Triumph” comes out. Bernie / RiverEarth.com
I came to US dreaming to work with horses. Without horse’ skills, experience or English knowledge. From dishwasher to a truck driver and everything in between. Your book would bring me so many dreams and a lifetime only Daniel Boone lived and I cherished when I was just a child. I will love to read your book and get it signed by you. I take my hat off for your accomplishments. Riding a motorcycle in so many states or from Boston to Yellowstone and back gave a little taste how amazing your quest is. You are very blessed.
I am waiting for a book in Portuguese “Marcha Brasil 14 mil” by Pedro Dias de Aguiar who with two more riders and 7 Mangalarga horses crossed from Chuí/RS, extreme South of Brazil to Oiapoque/AP Northern of Brazil in 1991. 2 Years trip. Amazing adventure.
Hi Roberto, Greetings from Daniel Boone Country! My wife Julia and I live a few minutes from the head of the Yadkin Valley, childhood home of Daniel Boone. Yes, his story makes and appearance in the new book. I sure enjoyed hearing about your adventures Roberto. This is a wonderful county to travel through via horse, mule or motorcycle. Sounds like you’ve seen a good bit of it! Thanks, too, on the heads up on “Marcha Brasil 14 mil. I am always interested in learning about new books on horse travel, Pedro Dias de Aguiar’s voyage sounds like a doozy. I look forward to letting you know when the book comes out! Happy Adventuring Roberto! Bernie
WOW – just amazing you did that!!!
Hi Jerry, Thanks for your kind words. I’m sorta amazed I did that, too. What I’m most excited about is that my book gives readers the real sense of having taken this voyage. It’s long, in depth and full of the unexpected amusing twists that accompany a trip like this. I sure look forward to letting you know when it comes available. Great hearing from you Jerry. Bernie

[…] Work on the new book about my latest mule voyage from North Carolina to Idaho is going really well. This week I worked on passages on why you can’t jerk a mule across a bridge with a golf cart, the Frogman’s sandwich and deflating a Nebraska calf with a pocket knife. I hope to have the second draft completed early in the new year. If you want me to give you a shout when the book comes out, just sign up for my newsletter right here. […]
