Photo of the Day – Fitting Hoof Boots For Mules

I spent the morning fitting hoof boots to my mules, Brick and Cracker, for our upcoming mule ramble. The last thing I did was label which boot goes on which mule's hoof. Here you're looking at Cracker's friont hoof boots. The"CR FR" written on the blue tape stands for "Cracker Front Right." I later labeled the boots with an indelible marker. Labeling the boots like this helps save time and mental bandwidth when I'm booting up the mules on the trail.
