Two Mules to Triumph: North Carolina to Idaho by Mule

The travel itch struck, so I saddled my mules Brick and Cracker and rode 2,300 miles from North Carolina to Idaho guided by paper maps and a route measured out with dental floss stretched across a globe. The message? You don’t need perfection, just perseverance, resourcefulness and a little help from others to get through uncertain times.
The full story is in the book Two Mules to Triumph.
