REIN Fundraiser Poster for FENCE Event September 30

I, Bernie Harberts, did not use generative AI to write or illustrate this article. Spell check and grammar check, yes. AI, no.

Join mule Polly, Julia and me on September 30 at FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center) to raise funds for REIN (Rescuing Equines in Need) Rescue. I’ll be screening the Lost Sea Expedition, the movie about my 395 day wagon voyage from Canada to Mexico with my mule Polly. Come meet Polly, check out the Lost Sea Expedition wagon and travel across America with me. This is the perfect get-away-from-the-screen-into-adventure outing for families, adventure lovers, hiking and camping enthusiasts and anyone interested in horses, mules or donkeys.

About REIN Rescue

REIN Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based right here in the foothills of western North Carolina that takes in mustangs and feral horses who’d otherwise have nowhere to go. They gentle these horses and match them up with adopters looking to provide them with a forever home. Every dollar raised at this event goes straight to that work. If you want to learn more about what they do before the event, check out REIN Rescue

Help Us Spread the Word

Please help us spread the word about this event by sharing on social media. Julia and I are printing flyers that we’ll be posting in the Tryon, North Carolina area. It’d be awesome and very old school of you if you’d join us. Here’s how you can download the official flyer (see below).

  1. Click on the poster below that says “A Special Evening With Bernie Harberts and Polly.”
  2. That will take you to a page where you can download the image as a PDF file.
  3. Download the PDF file.
  4. Print the PDF and, voila, you have a poster.
  5. Get posting! Think feed stores, community boards, barns, libraries, coffee shops, hell, even a telephone pole at a busy light if you run out of places to post.

Seriously, though, your efforts all go toward finding forever homes for the incredible mustangs and feral horses that REIN Rescue is transitioning to better life situations.
